TypeCare Terms and Conditions

Thank you for hosting with Type Creative. These terms and conditions cover your use of and access to our service.

1. By using our service you accept these terms

1.1. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our service.

2. Changes

2.1. We may make changes to these terms and conditions.

2.2. We amend these terms from time to time. The current terms are always posted on our site.

3. We may make changes to our service

3.1. We may update and change our service from time to time, including to reflect our users’ needs, regulatory requirements and our business priorities.

3.2. We will always give you reasonable notice of any major changes.

4. TypeCare Basic

4.1. Our responsibilities

We will:

  1. Take daily backups of your website.
  2. Restore your website from backup free of charge upon written request.
  3. Perform a weekly security check of your website.
  4. Perform a weekly performance check of your website.
  5. Send you a weekly report detailing what we have done.
  6. Notify you if we identify security vulnerabilities and suggest solutions.
  7. Notify you if we identify any performance issues and suggest solutions.

4.2. Your responsibilities

  1. You acknowledge that you are responsible for notifying us of any website defects as soon as they are discovered.
  2. You acknowledge that updates to plugins, themes and the core WordPress system may cause parts of your website to fail or display incorrectly.
  3. You acknowledge that in the event that your website is restored from backup you may loose posts, pages and products or transactions.
  4. You acknowledge that in the event that your website is restored from backup you may loose changes to posts, pages and products or transactions.
  5. You acknowledge that you are responsible for managing and controlling updates on your website including, without limitation, updates to all plugins, themes and the core WordPress system.
  6. You are responsible for addressing security vulnerabilities within 21 days of being notified.
    Failure to address security concerns within the 21 day period will result in forced action

    This may include updating of themes, plugins or the WordPress core system, disabling of themes or plugins, suspension of your service. Any forced actions taken to address security vulnerabilities will be invoiced at our standard hourly rate of $70 per hour at a minimum of 15 minutes.

5. TypeCare Pro

5.1. Our responsibilities

We will:

  1. Take daily backups of your website.
  2. Restore your website from backup free of charge upon written request.
  3. Perform weekly updates to plugins, themes and the core WordPress System.
  4. Perform a weekly security check of your website.
  5. Perform a weekly performance check of your website.
  6. Send you a weekly report detailing what we have done.
  7. Notify you if we identify security vulnerabilities and suggest solutions.
  8. Notify you if we identify any performance issues and suggest solutions.

5.2. Your responsibilities

6. TypeCare Gold

6.1. Our responsibilities

We will:

  3. Perform weekly updates to plugins, themes and the core WordPress System.
  4. Perform a weekly security check of your website.
  5. Perform a weekly performance check of your website.
  6. Send you a weekly report detailing what we have done.
  7. Notify you if we identify security vulnerabilities and suggest solutions.
  8. Notify you if we identify any performance issues and suggest solutions.
  9. Make minor changes to existing pages, products and menus free of charge upon written or verbal request.

6.2. Your responsibilities

  2. You acknowledge that updates to plugins, themes and the core WordPress system may cause parts of your website to fail or display incorrectly.
