WordPress is Free and Open Source software, built by a distributed community of largely volunteer developers from around the world.
The General Public License (GPL) declares WordPress as Free Software, unfortunately not all WordPress Plugins are released for free download. Most popular or essential plugins come coupled with a paid support license.
Releasing “Pro” or “Premium” plugins only to people who purchase support licenses restricts the availability of GPL-licensed software. It’s not in the true spirit of GPL and it can also become extremely costly for small businesses. That’s why we created TypePlus – a way for you to access essential “premium” plugins without having to purchase annual support subscriptions.
Our plugin bundles contain the exact same plugins, and the exact code you would get if you purchased directly from the developers. We give you free technical support for installing the plugins, but we may not be able to assist if certain features are not working as expected.
